Massage has long been considered Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM), but it is gaining traction as a viable option for pain management and preventative care. With benefits ranging from reduced stress, improved blood flow, relief from chronic pain, increased range of motion, decrease in headaches and more, it's no wonder why more people are turning to massage as a foundation for wellness.
The four steps of the 4RBodies cycle include relaxation, relief, restoration, and rehabilitation. We begin in a comfortable environment, allowing relaxation to begin immediately. My primary intent from beginning to end of your session is to relieve tight or overworked muscles in order to reduce the intensity of your symptoms. Because the connection between mind and body should not be ignored, the next goal is to restore body awareness to help you build better habits. After your session, I will recommend stretches and/or self-care techniques to help rehabilitate your body between sessions. I want to empower you with personal responsibility to make certain that your sessions are effective and long lasting. After the wellness cycle is completed, a new level of relaxation can be achieved. At this point, maintenance massage will be all that is needed.
Before your first session, a basic medical intake form will need to be filled out. From this point, we will have a consultation over the phone to address any concerns or questions you may have. I have a private studio set up in my home and a bathroom available for your use. Post-session, I will recommend a wellness plan tailored to you, take payment, and book your next massage. A pain free lifestyle is just around the corner!
